A job with the Times Group, has been the biggest
opportunity provided to me by the YMT college of Managemnt.
It has been the best experience so far, as I got a
chance to work with a young talented group of people who are self
motivated and make the workplace a vibrant environment to work at.
A pure corporate culture with a blend of fresh
creative minds, motivates me to be innovative and learn to come up
with something new each time.

My experience in Y.M.T. College of Management has
been quite nourishing in terms of knowledge & exposure. Y.M.T. has
been like a second home since we have the best faculty, several
co-curricular activities which completely falsifies the statement -
"MBA is All work and no play". Throughout the two years of MBA we
have been undergoing several activities like Ask the CEO,
Entrepreneurship games, the corporate week wherein we are lucky to
enrich our knowledge by speeches given by great corporate people,
several CSR projects, Inter - College paper presentations and good
summer internships & placements. Today I am at Lifestyle
International Pvt. Ltd. only because of Y.M.T.
As we know that Opportunities grabbed at the right
time will assure our growth so why close the doors. Golden
opportunities knock at Y.M.T. So if you are a smart aspiring Manager
then grab them immediately and enjoy and grow at Y.M.T. College of
Management.

I think the name YMT College of Management should be
Youthful, Magnificent/Marvellous, Thorough College of Management
which was found to be bustling with all round developmental
activities be it academic, spiritual, physical, cultural or sports.
It boasts of comparatively young and dynamic faculty dedicated to
the task, ever accessible, considerate, talented to the highest
degree and down to earth. The teachings are carefully chosen,
modulated, student friendly at the same time purposive, well aimed
and supportive. The two years I spent here transformed me from the
academics to business management with in depth study of and
knowledge in the management sphere.
The college afforded ample opportunities for the all
round developmental activities and growth to the students besides
making available all the possible amenities and facilities to usher
in an atmosphere of meaningful learning, exchange of information/
ideas, niceties of business management which was well supported by
friendly atmosphere. This was an invaluable source of inspiration to
us.
The smiling and contented faces of my fellow
students stand testimony to the satisfaction they derived on
completion of their perceived course. I am very much sure the
college will much march forward with more vigour, enthusiasm,
confidence and will serve the students to enable them to accomplish
what they intend.
I heartily thank the Director, the entire faculty
and the entire staff for what they have given me and thank my fellow
students for their mutual company and conversations for their team
spirit and exchange of ideas
My best wishes to all
Thank you

Two years ago, a bunch of people met each other for
the first time, ready to embark on a journey. Well, not so much as
ready, as excited. I remember my first interactive session
categorically. I was surrounded by engineers and was mighty scared
about the fact that this so called tech gurus will shred me to
pieces when ultimately everything will boil down to studies as i was
from a non engineering background. Though we had an amazing session
at the inception itself on the Insight about MMS course organised by
our director at YMT College which calmed my nerves and boosted my
confidence immensely and made me believed that if you are prepared
to give your more than 100% you won’t be lesser than anyone else.
As the day passed by I couldn't help marvel at the
raw talent what we had in that auditorium. We all of us were here by
choice to better ourselves and not just out to get a job. Miss Vidya,
the visiting faculty of that session advocated us to have a positive
attitude and read all sort of books by management gurus. The session
was sublime and put all of us on the front foot straight away.
A week had passed and we straight away headed into
the classroom sessions. Things moved at a frantic pace as we had
subject which varied from Accountancy, Marketing, Human Resource and
Operations. However at the inception we all thought why are we
studying everything from basic but once we bridged our journey from
academics world to the corporate world we now understand the
importance of all those basic things which makes your foundation
firm and make you all set for tough corporate world.
As the semester gathered pace we had all sorts of
activities from weekly assignments, power point presentation to
interactions with prominent personality from the corporate industry
on daily basis. In today’s fierce world it is just not about
theoretical knowledge which will land you top jobs. Hence our
college gave equal importance to both the key aspect.
Just like that time flies by and we were staring
right at the 1st semester exams in December. Cracking exams was not
difficult for those students who prepare from day 1. Luckily for all
of us our college professors paid enough attention on each of us so
that we manage to clear the exams with flying colours.
Following that we spend fortnight working towards
the field of Corporate Social Responsibility at our respective
NGO’s. It enlightened us and made us realise the importance of
giving towards society.
After joining back things moved at frantic pace
again on the academic level. Students had raised their levels. We
had turned Pro from Amateurs level once we were into 2nd Semester.
All of us had raised the bar and the so called tough presentations
and assignments seemed like a piece of cake.
In the midst of 2nd the semester we all went on
Industrial visit to North India which gave us the brief insight on
Operation and Marketing part in Giants such as Phillips, Lee Cooper
etc. A month passed by and again it was an exam time. All due credit
should go to our college professors as they made us prepared for the
uphill task. After the completion of the exam we all joined
corporate world for a brief stint which was for our Summer
Internship programme. This was the first instance which made us
realise the importance of to be on our toes all the time as it’s a
dog eating dog competition in an outside world. Though one thing
which worked in our favour was our college’s effort in training us
not only in theoretical aspect but also in practical aspect. The
journey made us realise the importance of Survival of fittest theory
and made us work doubly hard as we were now about to embrace the
corporate world forever in less than year’s time.
It was an exciting first day of our third semester
as we all came back together after 2 months time frame. Perhaps it
was like a reunion. Our Director and Professors came in the
auditorium and explained us the importance of the 3rd semester which
was our specialisation semester. This was a make or break semester
as to become successful managers it is this semester which really
counts. There are varied fields such as Finance, Human Resource,
Marketing and Operations we need to choose in. The entire semester
is a real tough one as syllabus is huge and competitive. There is no
two way about it. Though one must say the attitude shown by all the
student in this semester was truly world class. We all passed with
good numbers all thanks to efforts taken by of our In house as well
as visiting faculty.
Now we were on the final lap of our journey. Fourth
Semester is a mixed bag of Academics and Campus Placements. There is
lot of buzz amongst the student regarding the same and moreover
about the fat pay packages. All thanks to our Director Sir and
Placement Coordinator Madam our college was visited by various
corporate giants and most of us were all placed with good companies.
It was an emotional journey as we all were coming to
a fitting finale but all said and done it was a stupendous journey
which would have not been possible if our college professors and
director would’nt have there. They have surely helped us through and
through and it could be very well said that MBA is not a degree but
it’s a Art of Living for the Corporate World.
Today to stand a chance and rub your shoulders
amongst the elite in the corporate world your fundamentals are so
very important. This was only possible today because our professors.
Our college gave equal importance to both the theoretical as well as
practical aspect of studies. Surely each one of us won’t forget such
a marvellous journey which will be along with us for our life time.
Two years back, I felt excited and nervous. The
feeling isn't that different today. One thing which we all can say
proudly is that we all are YMT’ians Forever.
Thanks for everything. We will miss you all........
