Objectives:-
- To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well being of female students and teaching and non teaching women staff
- To create social awareness about the problems of women and in its particulars regarding gender discrimination
- To encourage participation of NGO's Working in the area of women's development in the activities of the cell
- To organize various types of training programme and create awareness about self employment schemes
A women's development cell has been constituted with the following committee members which will formally meets at regular intervals to review all cases and prepare statistical reports about number of cases received and pending
The institute plans to conduct the following activities to promote the women's development cells :-
- Organizing seminars and workshops for general awareness.
- Orientation programmes for students and teachers and non teaching staff for their active participation in this cell.
- Screening of documentaries related to women's issues.
- Arranging guests lectures on female foeticide and other related topics.
- Conducting one day workshop on legal formalities in the police station.
- Practical sessions on self defence techniques.
- Poster painting competition on women's issues.
- Inter collegiate debate on burning women's issues.
